The story is set on a post apocalyptic world with climate change.
We follow Jesse and his family who gets separated by the circumstances and forced to live in the underground with his mother and sisters. But things goes from bad to worse and her mother gets ill, her sister Olivia left and life underground is barely tolerable.
One day he finds a dog and a new adventure begins....

I find the story very touching and beautiful. The relationship between Jesse and Doggo is endearing and even if I am not satisfied with the end, I really like the book in general.
