Really enjoyed reading this one. Obviously didn't enjoy all the pro empire stuff but I really liked the characters and the unfolding of the mysteries within mysteries and the sometimes complex characters.
This book is inspired by Nero Wolfe, not something I'm familiar with but the author talks about it in his note at the end. I enjoyed the eccentricities to Ana and how her working relationship with Din develops as well as a kind of friendship. I kind of wanted to see a romance develop with Ana and Miljin. I hope we see him in the next book.
I hope we see more of the possible romance regarding Din! Because even though it was minimal, incredibly minimal, it still made me giddy lol.
I'm so happy there'll be a second book and can't wait to see what the next disastrous mystery is.
Also I hope captain Thalamis didn't survive 🙂 I hate him.
