The writing was very good and the concept was interesting overall. The execution of the two together failed for me. I couldn’t get into the story—it seemed to almost drag in some parts—which is strange for a sub genre I enjoy reading. Sometimes I skipped and skimmed instead of read the content on the pages. I understand this story was different from Legend and Warcross but it didn’t have the same touch. Disappointed but I’m still excited for her next book!
