Stars: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ & 1/4 (4.25 stars)
Read: July 2024
Format: Kindle e-Book
Challenge Prompt: CNL’s #3 of 50 - “set on a coast” - This was at the Atlantic Coast (Cape Cod).
Book #73 of 2024: This was a new-to-me author. I enjoyed this story. The main female and male characters come together and heal old pains. They discover friendship and more.
I like seeing flawed characters because it’s more realistic and relatable. The twin boys and their toddler-speak are adorable and Mr. Bacon Man is a title any self-respecting man should wear proudly.
I particularly enjoyed the surprise at the auction and I even had tears in my eyes. I appreciated the epilogue except for the random last sentence.
This is a feel-good book even though it shares struggles and heartache. The community is amazing and the triumph of the human spirit is as well.
