Station Eleven by Emily St. John Mandel

5.0

as this is the 2nd emily st. john mandel books i’ve read this year, i’m a little entranced by her style at the moment. i love the way she strings together individuals stories and you come out at the end with a Novel. One story — life on an island, life after civilization.

also; when i was a sophomore, the u did mr burns a post electric play, and i was constantly reminded of that premise, lol. i think i was a little hesitant to read the because people keep describing it as a Pandemic Book, but like all apocalyptic fiction, the Disaster is sort of incidental. idk i think her fiction is very grounded and human and i’m sort of it in love with it.
