Reread May 2024:

Finishing part 1 of The Darkness Outside Us made me want to hurl it at a wall. Both times I read it lol.

“Intimacy is the only shield against insanity. Intimacy, not knowledge. Intimacy, not power.”

I honestly feel like I'm experiencing an existential crisis. This book has me shaken and pondering the concepts of reality and humanity, as well as the importance of creating some semblance of meaning even when nothing makes sense.

It'll leave you staring into space and contemplating life when you've finished reading because you know you just read something incredible and your brain wants to linger in that story even if the book is over. Absolutely incredible book and fantastic narration on the audiobook.

"Hug your Kodiak close to you."
