Get a Life, Chloe Brown by Talia Hibbert

4.0

I just finished this, closed it, clutched it to my chest, and said “THAT WAS SO GOODDD.”

I loved this so much oh my god. It reminds me of one of my other favorite romances of the year—Emily Henry’s Beach Read—in that it strikes a perfect balance between romance and witty banter and more serious topics. In Chloe Brown’s case, those topics are chronic illness/pain and abuse. (Also, the author provides a trigger warning for the abuse, which I feel is a greatly appreciated detail that I haven’t seen talked about much!)

But I seriously just loved the characters in this. I loved Chloe, of course, and Red. But I also love the glimpses of the strong family dynamic Chloe has and I’m so excited to pick up the sequels and learn more about the Brown sisters!!

Really just so sweet and fun and I absolutely flew through this one. It was exactly what I needed.
