As much as I loved the prequel to this, I did not enjoy this one at all and will not be continuing the series. I just didn't believe the story at all, I couldn't get attached to the characters either and I found all the reactions from everyone to be ridiculous and highly unlikely. And I'm the kind of person who reads monster romance, so I have a very accepting vision of the literary world.
