The Psychology of Money by Morgan Housel
4.0
Confession time- I am terrible with money. I am a profligate overspender. So in an act of contrition I picked up this book and hoped to learn something.
This is a great read about personal finances for just about anyone, but especially for those who find the topic stressful and/or extremely boring. It is broken into a series of 20 succinct essays which deal with the psychology behind the financial world, both on a broader scale and on a personal level.
For those who already possess a high level of financial literacy, there is nothing new in this book and certainly nothing life-changing. But for the rest of us, who struggle with making solid personal financial decisions, this book puts everything into perspective. I have highlighted and annotated throughout, and it has positively impacted my approach. Recommended reading for the financially-challenged!
