Manhattan Target by V. Theia

If you're looking for a steamy story where you get to root for the "bad" guy, look no further...because This. Is. It. Dom is the perfect embodiment of an antihero - a villain to those who cross him, but a dream lover for the one who captures his heart. And, boy, did Gabriella do that! In the simplest of terms, Dom is a hitman and Gabby is an exotic dancer. Typical mafia-type romance stuff, right? WRONG! So so wrong! Dom is head over platform stilettoed heels for Gabby and she tries to fight their attraction from the very beginning, but their paths become too intertwined for their own good. Suddenly, you're so invested in these characters and you just don't know what's going to happen to these two and you have to keep turning the pages until you find out. I'm a serial fan of the author, so I may be biased here, but what I love most about this author's writing is the precise detail that goes into every scene of every book. Case in point - the description of Dom taking off Gabby's heels the first time she visits his home is SO DARN SEXY! I also love the ability of this author to intermingle all her characters together, so you'll never know who will pop up but you can be assured some of your favorites in her world will make a cameo appearance. Basically, this book has everything...romance, desire, suspense, action...you want it, it's in there. This is a 5 star read for sure!
