“You’re my wife, Sloane.” I drew circles as I indulged in the smoothness of her skin. “You’re mine for as long as I can keep you.”
Abel & Sloane were just so good together! She was all sunshine and he was a grump but the way he was a goner for her since the beginning was so cute! Sloane was pretty straightforward and I liked how she knew what she wanted and went for it always. I also liked how easily Abel bonded with the kids. It was obvious how safe and comfortable they felt with him. The plot was really exciting too and the last half was so good! I loved how Abel stood up for Sloane and helped her with the kids' case. His entire speech was just so heartwarming and I loved him even more after that. Overall, I really enjoyed reading this book. Especially Sloane & Abel's banters were freaking amazing and I loved how she loved to get under his skin lol! The side characters were all pretty great too and I'm excited to read the next book because I'm also very interested to know the mystery about the siblings' father. The matter was left unsolved but I'm guessing it's going to all unfold in the next book because of Veda, so I can't wait for it!
