ahh so good i cried so MUCH i loved the characters so much. i grew so fond of all the characters and they were all people who i really related to, which is what made this book so emotional and moving for me. they were damaged which i loved ofc. i loved everything about otis and dara’s friendship. they were there for each other for everything and i loved how they would drop everything for one another. their friendship shows just how powerful having someone to lean on can be, how that can save lives. and of course i was constantly rooting for otis and meg and i’m so glad that there was a happy ending because if there wasn’t i probably would’ve died lol. this book was beautiful. the book portrays the pain of loss and how it can affect everything in one’s life in a very realistic yet beautiful way(maybe how realistic the loss is is what makes it beautiful). and ofc i loved how hopeful this book is, how it shows that even after so much loss one can still have hope and be happy and how damaged does not mean broken. no matter how much we endure, we are not broken. we struggle and we learn and grow from every hardship. nothing is guaranteed, but that does not mean that we should not have hope. this book really made me ponder on life and how it is so short and how ever-evolving people and life are, how i should really just appreciate where i am in life now because who knows what could happen. i really love this book and would recommend it to anyone who wants something really touching and emotional.
