King of Wrath by Ana Huang

3.0

*MILD SPOILERS AHEAD*
This is my first book by Ana and I was excited to read it, especially with all the hype from Booktok but I was disappointed ngl.
The plot was like every other billionaire book with forced proximity that I've read. Honestly, I was gonna drop the book but I wanted to push through and see if the ending would make up for the boredom I felt while reading this. And in a way it did, I'm happy they got married because I did like Vivian and Dante together. Even though soy sauce on ice cream is an abomination. The man should be cancelled. That's a whole-ass red flag (please Ana).
The lack of personality especially on Dante's end lowkey turned me off. Like, give me some originality. Give me a different backstory, not the continuous mommy and daddy issues (at least his parents are alive lol).
Vivian was better. I like a strong woman with a backbone and I applauded her when she finally stood up to her family (lowkey brought up some ptsd lol). But she was also kinda bland ngl. The personality was Jimmy choo and event planning.

Now the book wasn't completely horrible. I loved Greta, Isabella, Kai (looking forward to his story so much) and Sloane (I am intrigued by her).
Idk if I'm gonna read the rest of the books in the series but maybe I'll do it for the plot lmao
