had a sudden urge to reread this, and 5 hours later, here we are
bumped up to 5 stars from 4.5, I think I got more out of it and found it more satisfying the second time. It’s a book I’ve kept thinking about in the 9 month interim between reads in a way that other (favorites, even) books don’t.
I’ll forever be grateful to this book for kickstarting my post-grad goal of rediscovering my love of reading. 60 books later and I’m enthralled by literature in a way I didn’t think was realistically possible less than a year ago. If you’re looking for a book to help you develop or rediscover a love of reading, or if academia has drained you to the point of making yourself believe you are illiterate and incapable, this could be a great choice for you too!
