This was a good novella. It gave some more depth to the Shadow and Bone world. Is it a necessary read? No. But if you are into fairytale type stories then this is perfect for you. Had a bit of creepiness to the atmosphere of the story. I am looking forward to reading other stories from Bardugo of the fairytale world of the Grishaverse.
