I feel like I had a strange relationship with this book. I loved the concepts, and the story kept me hooked.
But it was also very…frustrating.
So many times, I just couldn’t connect with the characters because their thoughts and actions didn’t seem logical. This was especially the case with Parvin, but I felt it with pretty much everyone except Hawke.
Maybe I get too caught up in expecting characters to make sense? My sister, who is forced to listen to my rants about illogical things in books, would probably say, “YES!”
