Six Scorched Roses by Carissa Broadbent
4.0
This novella was definitely far better than I expected it to be. It had dark academia vibes to it, and I loved it far more than I anticipated. I love that it was a fully developed story on its own with properly crafted characters. I know this was released before CoN 2, but I loved reading it even at the end. I would say that maybe reading at the end was even more satisfying as I read about Vale & Lillith in the second book, and this was a nice peek into how they fell for each other.
Okay, I feel Carissa Broadbent is becoming one of my sought-after authors now. I cannot wait to read the rest of her books.
Here are my reasons for why you should read this novella:
♡ You love dark academia vibes
♡ You love a grumpy vampire who's devastated for the human girl
♡ You love a daring FMC who can go to any lengths for those she loves
♡ You love handwritten letters
♡ You love a short yet carefully crafted fantasy read
