Defy Me by Tahereh Mafi

5.0

Holy WOW! This had such a different vibe from the rest of the series and I loved it. It was disturbing, yet beautiful.

Usually I hate imprisonment story arcs, but this one was done really well! Learning Juliette’s true past was such an experience and I am still shook over it. It was so heartbreaking to read about how messed up her life was. My heart also truly broke for Warner in this book.

Kenji’s POV? IMMACULATE. I loved it and we NEEDED IT. I really hope that him and Nazeera get together in Imagine Me or I may sob. Kenji’s character just gets better every book and I love it. He’s such an amazing person and friend. I died every time him and Warner got a scene together.

Over all, I really enjoyed all the drama and ~spice~ Defy Me brought to the table. I’m very intrigued as to where Imagine Me will take us, considering Defy Me did have a pretty happy ending.
