Book #19 of 2024: I’ve been enjoying this author’s Timeless series so I wanted to try one of her previous books. I enjoyed this Christmas tale of an unexpected reunion between the FMC and the daughter she gave up for adoption as a teenager.

I can’t imagine how hard it would be for anyone to give up their child by force and secrecy. The strain between her and her mother is quite realistic in my opinion. I admittedly imagined sticking a well-placed elbow into her mother, along with saying some blunt words, more than once.

I believe that this book relays the resulting feelings, emotions, and difficulties quite well. The main players all made some mistakes and facing them was not easy. Yet love can outweigh the negative either raw honesty, prayer, and willing hearts.

The imagery of the location is just gorgeous and really added to the story. It would make an amazing tv movie with the beautiful scenery as a backdrop to a story where you want to both cry and cheer.
