🎧 I was really looking forward to this one as it’s described as the “thriller of 2024” but I was really underwhelmed. It started off strong but it just lost me a 1/4 of the way in. Its extremely drawn out and could be so much shorter. It went around in circles and was so repetitive at times. I can’t say I really cared for any of the characters and in a way I didn’t really get to know some of them. I liked Ben to begin with but he just became so long winded and over descriptive and he became tedious. The storyline had such potential but I did feel I was missing important details and the authors style of prolonging the suspense to the last 20% just didn’t work. If anything I was frustrated as it took so long to get there while going around in circles and for me it didn’t have the desired effect. I was glad to finish this one as I was over it.
