This is just a beautiful story. I continue to be surprised in the best way by Elise Kova and her ability to weave a story and it's characters together in such a way that makes me want to cry pretty much every time I read one of her books.

This book is the 4th in a series, but they are all standalone. This one more so than the others. You do not need to have read the others before this one.

I have not read an underwater story that was so beautifully depicted. I have read other books where part of the story was underwater, but nearly this whole book is in the sea.

Some of these images that this book invokes will live rent free in my head for quite some time.
