Castles in Their Bones by Laura Sebastian
4.0
When I started this book, I was scared it would be too juvenile considering the triplets' age but the story only got better and better. Honestly, it's 5.30am here and I couldn't stop reading. I needed to know what would happen! I'm tired af but it was worth it lol.
I love the sisters. They each have distinct personalities and talents that make them independent and resourceful. I think I love Daphne and Beatriz the most but I also appreciated Sophriona's sensitivity. Their relationship is interesting as well: even though they love each other, they're not super close because of their upbringing. I wasn't sure if they would end up turning on each other or not. I really like that uncertainty.
As a huge fan of court intrigues and infiltration, this book was heaven for me. The schemes, the secrets, the plot twists, the betrayals, the dangers... The author balanced them so well! Like, you can tell something is off but you have no idea how exactly.
I also liked that we have different kind of romances and friendships.
I wasn't expecting that ending. I'm shocked that the author dared take a path others usually don't in YA.
