this premise is sweet. the love interest is actually perfect. the enemies-to-lovers thing is an .. interesting choice for a book with such low stakes but one i am willing to overlook. i have one problem really.
emily parker is . oh my god. i actually hate her. i hate her so much. there is no proper way to express the hatred i hold for this babywoman. this book is perfect except it sucks because she's so awful. she creates problems in her head, instigates fights for no reason, doesn't apologize for her immature, stupid, and childish behavior.
i'll take the high road here and say that emily was absolutely not "in the right" in the final act. you are not simon's therapist. you are not his mother. you are a girlfriend who he has known for like two months in total maybe. get the fuck out of the way. this book actually made me so angry it's insane i didn't even read the epilogue what just happened
