Someone to Watch Over Me by Lisa Kleypas

TW: dubious consent

It’s shit… but it’s shit that I eat up.

I gotta say after reading Lisa latest stuff and working my way back it’s very obvious how much she’s grown as a writer. Don’t expect much if you’re coming here from The Ravenels or The Wallflowers. The protagonists in this book have very little emotional chemistry. It’s all just physical. It’s very useless damsel in distress with her brutish manipulative savior. There’s even a part where she’s concerned if he loves her and he just brings her hand to his crotch like that is proof enough. Brooooo. Take the L. Nonetheless, the audiobook helped passed the time while I was at work.
