Vanessa Jared's Got a Man by LaQuette
3.0
First, I’m obsessed with the cover of this book.
Second, I didn’t love it. I didn’t hate it.
The characters lacked depth, I felt like it was very surface level. I wanted to know them more but the story kept getting pulled toward their life as a couple rather than individual qualities.
I was felt like the plot was a bit rushed and repetitive.
I did like theme of life after divorce and that both characters were older than what you typically see in romance novels. It tackled ideas of emotional and verbal domestic violence which I thought was handled nicely throughout the book.
I also really loved the friends! Especially the Savy, Sexy, and Singles club!
