The Man Who Walked Between the Towers by Mordicai Gerstein
4.0
This was a powerful book. I saw the movie The Walk around my job, but I wasn't too sure what it was about and then I checked out this book because it was a Caldecott Award winning book. It chronicles the journey of Philippe Petit, the amazing man who walked between the World Trade Centers.
Of course because this is a Caldecott book the artwork was amazing. It definitely was nostalgic towards the end with its reference to the world trade centers considering that they are no longer present. I think this book overall is a great introduction to the person that is Philippe as well as a way to grow a greater appreciation for the World Trade Center and the legacy that they ultimately hold.
