The second in the Harry Potter series as Harry enters his second year at Hogwarts this audio version which continues with Stephen Fry narrating and I think he has really hit his stride. He does the voices of the characters really well and makes the text come alive. I enjoyed very much the way they have used the minimal special effects to deliver the Howlers and the mysterious voice in the pipes which emulate the shock how the characters would also feel really adds to the atmosphere.

I loved the introduction of Dobby, also there is far more of Mrs Weasley and we also meet Mr Weasley – Harry finally gets to taste what having parents who care is really like Mrs Weasley treats Harry like a son. Also our 2nd Defence Against the Dark Arts teacher the seriously creepy Gilderoy Lockhart takes his staring part.
