I went into this book with very little background on what it was about. All I knew is that everyone loved it and it was seriously messed up, which I think made me enjoy this even more because I had no idea exactly how crazy and messed up this would get!
The story is told from three perspectives: Erin a tech worker for a big company who contracts the new and deadly PVG virus, a BDSM expert named Savannah who also contracts it, and Mareva a coworker of Erin who has an even bigger role to play in this whole cosmic plague. The three perspectives meld together perfectly and it was such an interesting way to reveal key details of this new virus and slowly piece together the story. It starts with a bang and just gets crazier and crazier to the point where it’s just all out madness. Tons of gore, body horror, monsters, and fucked up things occur in this book so I highly suggest you only read this if you’re ready for some truly gruesome content.
If you’re a horror lover read this immediately! It lives up to all the hype and I absolutely loved it. Especially the LQBTQ representation and the strong female characters that are all involved in this cosmic apocalypse.
