This book was riveting. This is a story about Teo and Esma's friendship, their struggles as marginalized peoples, their families, and dealing with loss and adversity. I loved seeing their Rom and Mixtec cultures through their eyes. The way the characters deal with depression from loss of a loved one was especially well done and approachable for people of all ages.

Most importantly I love the message: with friends for life nothing is impossible!
