Cress by Marissa Meyer
5.0
In the third installation of The Lunar Chronicles, the reader follows Cress. Cress is a tech genius who is used by Sybil, the Queen's lackey, and kept isolated from civilization.
The story starts picking up around the fifth chapter, Cress and Cinder have made contact and Cinder is committed to helping Cress escape. One thing that I disliked about this is the fact that Cinder and her crew are always so close to getting away with their plan but it goes wrong. My thoughts are usually, "But they were so close!"
Cress is adorable and awkward around her crush.
Cinder is trying to cope with the role that was literally sprung on her.
In this book, Winter makes her debut and honestly, she's introduced as this crazed beauty that was tormented by her evil stepmother.
Scarlet is kidnapped by the Lunar and is mentality tortured until Winter asks for Scarlet as a pet.
Wolf struggled after Scarlet's kidnapping. He is constantly trying his hardest but on his downtime, he's thinking about the Lunar torturing Scarlet.
This book is amazing, thrilling and is so exciting. I was upset that it ended so quickly and abruptly after Cinder and Kai are finally reunited.
