These characters are amazing. I really loved Millie. The author has an interview here that talks a little about how she approaches writing characters with disabilities. My knowledge about BPD is limited, my knowledge of what it's like to use prosthetic limbs or a wheelchair is also limited, so take my review with a grain of salt, but I found the story fascinating. For me, it did a great job of being a fantastic urban fantasy that just happens to have a disabled protagonist; that feeling of a character with issues, but the story isn't only about her injuries and illnesses, it's about how she works to solve the supernatural crime. I'll happily read the rest of this series.
