Dune by Frank Herbert
5.0
I don't know where to start with this book and explaining it to anyone, it's clearly a masterpiece.
It was first published in 1965, it's just way ahead of it's time; nothing like I've read from the 60s before and nothing like I've ever read before in general.
God knows how long it took the author to write this, you can definitely tell it's carefully written; it's just full of depth, details of the characters and surroundings.
There's a lot of politics in this book, which doesn't interest me much and it does drag from time to time but it doesn't stop me one bit from giving it a top rating because like I said - it's just a masterpiece and the writing is genius.
Personally I think to fully digest this book, it has to be read two or three times because it is the most complex book I've ever read; if you've read it you'll know exactly what I mean.
