This book is just a wreck. An absolute wreck that is beyond confusing, problematic, and boring.

I got 80 pages in and nothing happen? At all? The book is like 250(?) pages so by now you had some idea what was happening, especially if it was a fantasy book (which it is? maybe? feels like it). I didn't like any Wink or Poppy. I sort of liked Midnight. Actually, I liked Midnights father more than any of the three narrators and that says a lot considering all he's so far is walk by. Am I being harsh? Yeah. I usually try to not bash on books because I realize it's a personal thing. Some people out there might love this book and that's cool. But it's not for me.

It gave me a weird Black Mirror vibe (and not in a good way). Is this book supposed to be fantasy? Mystery? Romance? Contemporary? Fairytale retelling? I HAVE NO CLUE.

Also want to know what bothers me the most? The fact that one of Poppy's "love interest" kind of...abuses her? I don't want to throw around that word lightly but he literally punches her at one point. He puts her down 24/7. Yet she still wants to be with him? I know she's portrayed as a villain BUT HOLY CRAP. SHE HAS NO REDEEMING QUALITIES AND HER "RELATIONSHIP" WITH LEAF MAKES ME ANGRY.

Just what the hell is going on. I wanted to like this book but I honestly don't have any more patience. Maybe I'm not understanding the bigger picture (if so please tell me!).
