Ladron del rayo/ The Lightning Thief by Rick Riordan
5.0
I read The Lightning Thief three times now and never wrote a review. So here I go.
I love Percy Jackson and the Olympians. This book, the series and author are what got me into reading back in 2013. I love the play on Greek mythology and the humour with which Rick Riordan writes Percy's point of view. I love Annabeth and Grover. I love Camp Half-Blood. And I honestly cannot recommend this book enough.
You could say that Percy Jackson is a troubled kid. He has attended and been kicked out of six schools in six years. He has ADHD and dyslexia. Then on this school trip to the Metropolitan Museum of Art, Percy's world turns upside down when he math teacher attacks him and his Latin teacher throws him a sword. And Percy's hero's journey begins.
