This book is actually my child. I love love love the found family. I love the small happy moments in between the sadness and I adore the characters. At certain points I did find myself skimming, and although the book was sad I never actually cried, but that is a pretty hard accomplishment. There's so many small moments that overall just add up to really show each of the characters. 

Only thing is that while I like the characters a lot and am generally sad, it's more of in a disconnected way.
