This is a perfect place to leave the series. Ozma’s birthday party brought back just about every character from the previous books. I may pick up the series again at some point to see if there are any other good entries among the fourteen books but at this point they’re becoming a bit tedious and repetitive.

Ranked from favorite to least up to this point in the series:

1. Ozma of Oz
2. Land of Oz
3. Wizard of Oz
4. Road to Oz*
5. Dorothy and the Wizard in Oz

*I almost rated Road lower than Dorothy and the Wizard because Button Bright was exceedingly annoying and the Shaggy Man was giving me creepy vibes, but I liked the birthday party stuff in the second half of book five better than anything in book 4.
