A perfect, page-turning, impossible-to-put-down introduction to the wonderful HP series. The kids are young, yes but don't let that scare you away grown ups - they grow up before your eyes, fast and it is worth the read. This first installment in this legendary series is (sorry to be redundant but perfect just fits) a PERFECT introduction to Harry & his friends, as well as the Wizarding World, some of the professors at Hogwarts and other important characters as well as Lord Voldemort and what will go on to be the great rivalry between himself and the title character.

When you decide your kids are almost old enough for this series, ease them in with this and the next two installments- nothing scary yet, no deaths - just the intriguing world of magic, Harry & his friends. When they are mature enough for the rest, they'll be ready. These books can, unlike most books for me, be read over and over again - they never get old, nor do them movies though they leave much out.

READ THEM. You won't regret it. Pass them down to your kids, nieces, nephews, etc - everyone deserves to be introduced to this amazing world.
