Book 1 was maybe a bit of a slow start (and the flashback first chapter is a bit confusing) as far as RH books go, but by book 2, this series is absolutely un-put-down-able!

I love the forbidden love aspect with more than one of her lovers. I love that her relationships develop with each one in their own way, and they all have such different personalities. Check out my highlights for some of the good stuff!

Her best friend dies in this book, so if you're grieving, you may want to give this one a pass for now. It feels very realistic to the grieving process, and that could be triggering for some.

Also the story felt fresh to me aside from being a murder mystery style. I liked the mix of familiar (witches, vampires, demons, etc.) and unfamiliar in this book and series. Highly recommend!
