A graphic novel where the women are strong, the men are handsome, and the children are above-average. Well, sometimes. The art is scribbly but confident; the plot is tightly-paced; the characters are love-'em-or-hate-'em but occasionally both. This is a detective noir story, but it is mostly about mothers and daughters and the things we do to (and for) the people we love. Highly recommended!
