The Black Friend: On Being a Better White Person by Frederick Joseph
3.0
I didn't hate this book, but I didn't love it either. The author is writing to young adults, so I felt a little talked down to at times, but I think that was more because of the intended audience than any fault of the author. I also felt like he sometimes made sweeping generalizations without acknowledging that there can be nuances to any situation. I think he did do a good job in explaining to white young adults what it is like to be a black (or any non-majority) young adult.
