Once again, I have thoroughly enjoyed this book and am still captivated by the series. Some repitition from the previous books:
New school year, new dark arts professor
Snape is a one-trick pony. Oh, look, he's upset about Harry and took points from Gryffindor for that but somehow Slytherin seems to always be avoiding his wrath
Draco Malfoy needs smacked in the mouth more than he has been
Hagrid is precious and deserves so more much out of life
This one had lots of twists. I expected something big was happening behind the scenes, but I was ot expecting a lot of what happened. Compared to books 1-3 in this series, this one feels like it's hitting its stride more readily and is finally growing into the shoes that it's worn for a couple years now (as it were). This isn't to say I disliked the previous books, but it's obvious that this is a definitive shift from middle grade to YA.
