While I am aware that this is a dark romance, this volume had little plot in it. It was mostly smut, which isn't a bad thing, but I prefer to have a balance. There is room for more plot than them having sex.
The spice was still pretty on point, and I didn't hate it. I just felt that some of what had happened plot-wise from the previous volume was ignored in this one. This is from Yuri's POV, so it makes sense that some of it would be "ignored" because she might not know what's happening behind the scenes. It just felt like it was swept under the rug, but maybe it'll come back up at a later date.
I am still fully invested in their romance, it's spicy and intense. Very whirlwind and lust-filled. I hope the plot comes back.
