A really refreshing, “Rom-Com” style take on the Hades and Persephone myth.
I absolutely adored Persephone, how she took charge of her life, her future and how others perceive her. Hades was 100% a Golden Retriever boyfriend/husband, allowing his much more powerful wife to take control with no resentment.
How Persephone develops from the scared but still sassy Kore into the Dread Queen is a wonderful character arc. With her relationship with Hades developing along the way from little trust to the perfect love story.
I have had high hopes for this since the announcement from Bea and I was not disappointed.
