Neanderthal Marries Human by Penny Reid

4.0

We follow Janie and Quinn on the road to getting hitched.

This definitely no novella, it's a full-length novel and I'm glad it is because Quinn's personality comes out so much more. We get to see more sides to him and the people he chooses to associate with. I loved the dynamic between them all and this weird group of chaotic individuals that both Janie and Quinn band together.

My heart went out for Janie because she starts this journey with the intention of making sure Quinn's family becomes whole again but what she ends up finding is a family herself. She has to deal with her father and sister, bringing forward some ugly truths but by doing so she finds out that family is who you make it.

I'm excited to get around to another couple and see where the world of Penny Reid's mind stretches to.
