So overall I think this is a perfectly fine professor/student romance that I really enjoyed for the first 2/3rds. It was a slow burn for sure with a ton of tension in the first half, but I have some gripes towards the middle end. I think this easily could have been about 50 pages shorter at least. While I enjoyed Mille's POVs throughout the story, Ryland's left a lot to be desired. He came off as very "woe is me" and it became a bit much towards the end. Overall, I like how they came together in the end and I think they complement each other as characters (Millie being the "hunter" type was a nice change up) and I look forward to reading more from this author in the future.
personally this was a 3.25 stars due to some of the issues I had with the slow burn.
