Can't Spell Treason Without Tea by Rebecca Thorne

4.0

*4.75
Wowza.. I really enjoyed this book! I feel like my experience was hindered a tad because I wanted to read it before the end of February so I rushed through this BUT it held up well. Right off the bat, I really liked the dual POVs, I felt it helped the pacing, and it was generally fun to learn about them through each other's eyes. I will admit, this is definitely not low stakes because WHY were there so many near-death experiences??!! That's honestly what made me knock it down by .25 and I'm still considering bringing it down to 4.5. Anyhoo, Kianthe, and Reyna's relationship was a nice mix of playful and heartwarming. I'm glad they helped Gossley avoid becoming a bandit, and had Matild and Tarly take him in. A lot of things happened really easily/conveniently but I can excuse it since I came for a feel-good story. Overall I look forward to the second book.
