I liked how the author mixes instruction with memoir. I love this gardening style: it’s a natural cottage look. I prefer something a tad more manicured for my little suburban quarter acre with a mid century modern, but the design principles are sound, the pictures inspiring, and the prose pleasing. I had a hard time returning it to the library. I think I’m on my third renewal. I definitely want a copy of my own.
