Slade House by David Mitchell
5.0
If you're looking for a fun, dark, twisted trip through the craziest funhouse you've ever set foot in, this is it. I've not read anything in the horror genre in a long while that had so many twists, turns, and in general, such a wild ride as this one. I read the first half last weekend and wrapped it up tonight and it was a ride from start to finish. It helped too that I actually read this one and didn't listen to the audio version. I got totally engrossed in this book and was literaly blown away while getting swept away at the same time. If you like a thrilling suspenseful horror read, with some supernatural fun thrown in throughout, not overpoweringly so, but enough to make it fun this is your read. I'd recommend though, you get a pot of coffee ready. You won't want to put it down for a break, you'll want to stay awake and hold on for this. It's all the description gives, and so much more. They would have a hard time making a movie as elaborate as this. Have fun, hold on, and enjoy the read yall. Seriously. And, leave that house at the end of the alley alone if you want to continue existing. I mean it. Don't touch that door. Goodnight yall. Sweet dreams.
