The Puma Years by Laura Coleman

5.0

This is honestly one of the most compelling stories I've ever read. I couldn't stop reading this book, I finished it so quickly for what my reading capacity is like these days. I can understand why the parque had such a profound effect on Laura. I spent a single day at an elephant sanctuary in India and that was transformative. Although I absolutely never want to visit the parque! The jungle might actually kill me! I am really curious as to what impact Covid has had on the parque and worry for the future, as human induced climate change is making conditions worse. Right now as I post this, there's wildfires raging across Europe and London. Most people in my life are passionate about animals and the environment but it saddens me that not everyone is. It's so disheartening to see these big corporations who could make a difference just making things worse.
