would be 5 stars if Aelin wasn’t just a wreck at the beginning / it just feels like such a different world from the first 2 books it always takes an adjustment

and how he and Aelin bring out the light in one another 
also the whole mistward gang is so wholesome - love the gays

and honestly Chaol isn’t hopeless in this one tho my heart hurts for the Dorian Chaol ship 
also poor little baby Dorian and his 2 minutes of happiness, that himbo deserves better I just adore him
